Press Statement: Condemnation of the Proposal to Forcibly Displace Palestinians and Annex Additional Palestinian Land
Adhaalath Party strongly condemns the recent proposal by U.S. President Donald Trump to forcibly relocate Palestinian citizens from Gaza. Such a move would constitute the mass displacement of a civilian population, a blatant violation of international law, and a grave crime against humanity.
We further reiterate that the ongoing war against Palestine, waged by Israel, amounts to genocide. This genocide is taking place against the backdrop of a nearly century-old apartheid system, where Palestinians have been subjected to systematic oppression, ethnic cleansing, and denial of their fundamental rights. The international community must not turn a blind eye to these atrocities.
Adhaalath Party calls upon the global community to uphold and enforce the rights of the Palestinian people to their entire homeland. Israel must not be allowed to continue its illegal encroachment on Palestinian lands in the West Bank or Gaza. The world has a moral and legal obligation to stop the ongoing expansion of Israeli settlements and ensure justice for the Palestinian people.
Furthermore, Adhaalath Party calls upon the Maldivian people and the Islamic Ummah to unite and stand resolute against any attempts to forcibly displace Palestinians from their land. As an Ummah, we must work collectively to ensure the protection of Palestinian rights and the preservation of their homeland for future generations. It is our religious, moral, and humanitarian duty to stand in solidarity with our oppressed brothers and sisters in Palestine and take all necessary measures to support their struggle for justice and freedom.
The international community must act decisively to put an end to these crimes, hold Israel accountable, and ensure that Palestinians can live with dignity, freedom, and sovereignty over their rightful land.
