PRESS RELEASE
Adhaalath Party strictly condemns the recent rants of spilling blood by Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture Mohamed Shainee, while appearing on Sangu TV on 31 August 2016. Adhaalath Party believes that such cowardly, terroristic and extremist expressions of Mr. Shainee and the likes eluicidate the atrocious and extremist nature of President Abdulla Yameen’s Government
Undoubtedly, all acts of extremism and fear mongering are never tolerated anywhere in anyway, form, whatsoever. Neither such ruthless tactics could even bolster a government that has lost public confidence, nor could it even silence dissents. In contrast, when ombudsmen in a society exhibit brazen disregard to ethics and norms of the society and resort to such antagonism, then the whole society would fall apart, plunging the entire nation into chaos. Adhaalath Party is extremely concerned of such a perilous future of the country due to the atrocious nature of President Abdulla Yameen’s Government
Moreover, the Party also believes that the Government has deliberately recourse to such violence and incitement of fear to control the masses as its modus operandi, with the illusion that such heinous tactics would remedy its failure to resolve issues on democratic principles and its subsequent isolation in the international community. In spite of such ferocious warnings, Adhaalath Party is ever more confident that the compatriots would never be hindered in carrying out peaceful rallies against corruption, injustice and tyranny of President Abdulla Yameen’s Government
Adhaalath Party also notes the failure of law enforcement authorities to probe into the brazen call for violence by Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture Mohamed Shainee and affirms that those authorities and other state institutions are under the clout of President Yameen and his cronies. On the contrary, those exercising freedom of assembly and expression as enshrined in the Constitution are being prosecuted and incarcerated including the President of Adhaalath Party, Sheikh Imran Abdulla
